My name is Micah Roe. I am a proud Birra Gubba man from the Burdekin. My father's family is from the Nkyanna nation, in the Kimberleys.
I am a part-time law student who never thought getting a university degree was for me.
After leaving school, I worked in construction, mining and even aviation but wanted to get in touch with my Aboriginal culture and headed to Alice Springs. I was shocked by the poor living conditions, levels of education and health services.
I saw law as a chance to give me a firm understanding of citizens' rights open the door to working in the community, and having a voice in policy decisions.
People are diverse and everyone has a different view of the world. As a university student you can have conversations and a voice-your views are valued and heard.
DESCRIPTION: My deadly story values diversity
